Submission of Research Papers

Authors are invited to submit electronically original, English-language research contributions or experience reports not concurrently submitted elsewhere. Submitted papers will be refereed by at least three reviewers for quality, correctness, originality, and relevance. Similar to the previous symposia, accepted papers will be published by Springer as proceedings in Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) .

Submitted papers should be in Springer camera-ready format (LNCS). The number of pages (including all parts such as appendix) should not exceed 18 pages. Any paper more than 18 pages will be rejected. Sample style files are available for Latex2e and Microsoft Word. Please notice that Springer encourages the use of Latex2e.


Submission of Demonstration Papers

We welcome submissions of short papers, which describe demonstrations of systems (developed or under development) related to the topics of interest. The selection criteria for the demonstration proposals evaluation include: the novelty, the technical advances and challenges, and the overall practical attractiveness of the demonstrated system. Accepted contributions will be presented at a special demo session during the symposium; they will also be included in the proceedings.

Each submission should be within four pages in LNCS format, describing the scientific background, plus one page that describes the nature of the demonstration that will be given at SSTD. A submission should include:


Instructions for Preparation of Camera-ready Papers

Authors of accepted papers should prepare their camera-ready version by May 5th, 5 p.m. PDT. This is a hard deadline.

  1. Please submit your pdf file to the Easychair site in Springer camera-ready format for LNCS proceedings. Page limits: full papers 18 pages, poster papers 6 pages, demo papers 5 pages. Please visit the Springers LNCS author instructions.
  2. Please submit your sources files to Easychair site; Latex (encouraged) or RTF files, plus image files. See also Springers LNCS author instructions.
  3. Please send us your completed and signed copyright form (downloadable from Springer here).

Please note that papers which do not fulfill all of the above by the deadline cannot be included in the proceedings.
